Nightsky's Choice -- Ch. 26The days passed slow as the moon changed shape to announce a full moon. Nightsky had clung to life from the belly wound that had almost ended her on the spot. But from the rise and fall of her flank, you could tell that her breathing was becoming stronger and stronger each day. Chemicalheart made sure of that.

Winterflower only noticed Chemicalheart rushing to her den to inspect the wounds on her apprentice. As she looked at Cinderpaw, she realized that she was not as hurt as she thought; only her tail was crushed under the large rock. Delicately, and with Willowcloud at her side, they slid the apprentice out, the blood around her paws making her almost sick.
